A challenge facing all research centres is how to cascade conceptual and empirical findings to stakeholders outside of the academy. Specifically, we need to ensure that outputs from our own projects - Centre Research - and those of the R2P Fund - influence policy deliberation and public debate. To do this, we must serve as an academic and policy resource for the actors we understand to be our research 'stakeholders': governments in the region and international institutions and NGOs in the global humanitarian order; and researchers in the academy. Finally, it is important to contribute to the wider goal of furthering the public understanding of what is entailed by the doctrine of sovereignty as responsibility.

To aid dissemination of Centre research, we are about to launch a new series of Centre Policy Briefings. The aim with these documents it to articulate our research findings in few and more accessible words without compromising on the quality of the research.
